Irving Park Elementary PTA’s mission aligns with North Carolina PTA and National PTA–To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. Together we are a powerful voice for children and we continue to work toward PTA’s goal of a quality education and nurturing environment for every child.

Advocating for ALL children is our primary goal and we do this through teacher support, volunteer hours in the classroom, programs that promote healthy living, family engagement at school and community building events! Irving Park Elementary’s PTA can and does, at times, have more long-term project plans that fit our mission and vision, but our yearly goals are typically program related and targeted more toward day-to-day needs of our families, teachers and students!

IPE PTA has brought many exciting programs to our school over the years including our Walk-a-thon FUNdraiser in the Fall, Spirit Nights at local businesses, grants for teachers’ S.T.E.A.M. projects in the classroom and coordinating many volunteer hours in the classroom and in our School Gardens. We coordinate and participate in International Walk to School Day promoting healthy lifestyles and road/bike safety. We also organize an annual Science Fair/Winter Dinner in December, Teacher Appreciation Events throughout the year and our annual Fun Night carnival in May.

Our daily volunteers, monthly spirit events and annual events are sponsored and funded by Irving Park Elementary’s PTA and all promote engaging and empowering our families and communities to advocate for ALL children!

Irving Park Elementary PTA is excited to sponsor a 10-week Summer Enrichment Program at Irving Park Elementary School! Get the details here:
